McDonald's hosts "for the culture" BETX Fan Fest experience with chart-topping music artists Lil Yachty, Tobe Nwigwe, BJ the Chicago Kid and more, to spread positivity through live music, remixing feel-good beats and original digital content series. The immersive consumer event took place during the jam-packed BET Experience leading up to the 2019 BET Awards and celebrated all things Black culture.

Fans enjoyed live musical performances from hot artists, constant music from rotating DJs Zaytoven, DJ Trauma, and others, mix their own beats in live studios and gave a new meaning to "writings on the wall" through the Black & Positively Golden digital wall experience. Attendees were also able to create new memories all while snacking on delicious Chicken McNuggets, World Famous Fries, and Mango Pineapple Smoothies. McDonald's presence at BETX was presented by Black & Positively Golden, an initiative that affirms the brand's dedication to highlighting positive stores and achievements through education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

McDonald's invited THAheadline out to enjoy the experience first-hand. We were able to tour the space, enjoy free menu items, and conducted an interview with musical artist, Tobe Nwigwe and learn more about the Black & Positively Golden movement.
