[FIRST LOOK] Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

It's Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, featuring festive seasonal décor, Halloween-themed attractions, photo opportunities, themed food, and beverages now through October 31, 2022. In addition, Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park honors the traditions of Día de Los Muertos with live entertainment, delightful foods, and hands-on crafts through November 2, 2022.

The friendly yet ghoulish fun kicked off September 2 with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and some of their pals debuting new, festive frocks at Disneyland Park, crafted with "homemade" details such as fabric patches and hand stitching. It also features festive seasonal décor, including the Mickey Mouse pumpkin and the Headless Horseman statue, Halloween-themed attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, photo opportunities with favorite Disney characters and villains, and specialty treats. There is something for everyone during this spirited celebration. The Halloween spirit also extends to Downtown Disney District with colorful autumn décor, seasonal merchandise, and specialty dining.

On September 2, the press had the opportunity to join in on the fun. Our favorite was at the Plaza de la Familia in Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure Park. Many can't-miss activities include "A Musical Celebration of Coco," a lively street performance honoring Disney and Pixar's "Coco" and the everlasting bonds of family. It was a sight to see! There is also the opportunity to enjoy Mariachi music at Paradise Gardens Bandstand, Mexican cuisine at Paradise Garden Grill, a photo opportunity at the iconic Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life), and encounters with a hand-animated figure of Miguel from "Coco."

The annual bespoke gingerbread house is in Disneyland's Grand Hall of Haunted Mansion Holiday. This year's design is a "cut above the rest," featuring gingerbread cookies of 'Lock, Shock, and Barrel' from "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas," using a guillotine and long spears to slice up holiday cakes and treats.

Guests looking to add Halloween whimsy to their wardrobes and wares will encounter seasonal merchandise, apparel, and accessories at retail locations throughout both parks, pins, plush, and decorative items that summon the spirit of Halloween into their homes. Collections this year highlight Mickey Mouse, Disney's "Hocus Pocus," the Haunted Mansion, and more. In addition, guests looking for sweet treats and delicious eats can find Halloween-themed specialty items at select food and beverage locations, such as the Mickey mummy premium bucket, rocky road Halloween sundae, and chocolate-espresso bread pudding.

Make it a family trip and head to Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure for an Oogie Boogie good time!
