VIDEO: WAKANDA FOREVER | Dorothea Taylor Interview, the Digital Release, and more!


The legacy continues. Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives on Digital on February 1 and 4K Ultra H.D., Blu-ray, and DVD on February 7. In addition, fans can add the film to their collection and access exclusive bonus content, including deleted scenes, a gag reel, and audio commentary by esteemed filmmakers Ryan Coogler, Joe Robert Cole, and Autumn Durald Arkapaw. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will also stream on Disney+ on February 1. Plus, a two-movie bundle will be available on all major digital platforms.


The film will be released in two limited-edition SteelBook ® designs exclusively available at Best Buy.



The details of the Wakanda design, by artist Dorothea Taylor, highlight Shuri (Letitia Wright), Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), and M’Baku (Winston Duke).

 

Dorothea Taylor is a graphic designer and illustrator, or “designustrator,” as she describes herself. Her work focuses on the amalgamation of design, illustration, and lettering. In 1992 she established her studio, T.P. Design, Inc., in Stone Mountain. Over the years, they have worked on many projects, including branding, design, illustration, surface design, and packaging. Their client list includes Coke, Pepsi, KFC, Cartoon Network, General Mills, and Georgia Pacific. Her work has been featured in countless design and illustration books and publications. 


THAheadline had the opportunity to speak with Taylor one-on-one about her vision behind her design, how long it took to bring it to life, and a reminiscing moment when she found out she was selected to design the limited edition SteelBook!
